BKU-aqua®:
for
water
supply
for
new
buildings
and
renovation
The material PEHD has been known and has proven itself
for
years
for
use
in
pipe
systems
for
potable
water.
The
Karlsruhe
Technology
Centre
Water
of
the
German
Technical
and
Scientific
Association
for
Gas
and
Water
issued
a
test
certificate
for
the
used
material
PE-HD
Finathene
3802,
colour
blue.
The lining board is a homogenous "web board"
extruded
in
one
pass
and
with
a
width
of
1m
and
a
wall
thickness
of
4mm.
The
front
(with
medium
contact)
has
a
smooth
surface,
the
back
is
equipped
with
specially
profiled
longitudinal
webs
with
a
web
height
of
approx.
12mm
and
fixed
at
a
distance
of
approx.
30mm
each.
New
buildings
The
BKU-aqua®
boards
have
a
tongue-and-groove
joint
system
and
are
preassembled
to
the
shuttering.
This
guarantees
that
the
preassembled
but
not
yet
welded
boards
can
adjust
stressfree
to
expansion
(change
of
length)
or
other
site-related
conditions
caused
by
temperature
variations.
After dismantling, the joints are joint-welded by
TÜV-supervised
specialists
by
using
hot
gas
welding.
Subsequent changes of mounting parts, modifications,
and
extensions
can
be
integrated
non-destructively.
Renovation
The line-type frictional connection to the existing
container
is
made
with
the
PEHD
subconstruction
especially
developed
for
the
BKU-aqua®
System.
This
subconstruction
for
the
BKU-aqua®
lining
serves
the
creation
of
the
line
anchorage
and
also
serves
as
weld
support
of
the
boards
in
the
area
of
the
joint
gap.
After
the
installation
of
the
BKU-aqua®
lining
and
welding
of
the
joints,
a
"PEHD
container"
insensitive
to
cleaning
and
hygienically
safe
is
created
in
the
existing
reinforced
concrete
structure.
